· Rest for 30 minutes in Cascatinha Taunay.

Description

Rio de Janeiro offers a National Park with 3,200 hectares of Atlantic Forest, which helps the water and divides the city making it more comfortable and harmonious.

Hopefully visitors will encounter a toucan, coati, collared anteater, marmoset, capuchin, squirrel, among others.

A symphony of birds as saracura, poultry, owls, black-billed toucans, hawks and herons, provide a sideshow. The colors of hummingbirds and butterflies are also lovely.

Highlight for Cascatinha Taunay, transparent waters. There have bathrooms, bar, souvenir shop. A good place to recall the history of the coffee plantations that there existed (until 1845), the pioneering work in Latin America reforestation from 1861 and the rebuilding of the headquarters of the farm between 1943 and 1947. And this is the area where we enter the hiking trails oriented valleys, streams, waterfalls and caves.

The stakes in Chinese Pavilion is indispensable. From this privileged vantage point we can see the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Corcovado, Sugar Loaf, Guanabara Bay, Two Brothers Hill, Ipanema, Leblon and Botanical Gardens among others.
